Daddy and Bladen birthday outing

Russ awhile back, signed all the kids up for the Kmart Birthday Club. Around the kid's birthday, they email you a $5 gift coupon good for any toy! Russ took Reese for her birthday and she came home with a balloon and a new toy. Today, he just left with Bladen. It's nice because it's something special between daddy and the kid's and they get to pick out their own toy - within reason. We usually limit it to a $10 or under, but you could even limit it to $5, making it FREE!!

Check it out here: Kmart Birthday Club

We also had Bladen's birthday party yesterday at the local Bounce House. I'm guessing he had a great time because this morning he asked for a birthday party! Reese also asked for a birthday party when she got up! Thank goodness we are done with kid parties until June.

Reese & Flash Giveaways

So last night, the kids were in bed and I was busy preparing for Bladen's birthday party and my Dove Chocolate Discoveries Party that I'm doing right after. I walk upstairs and see the bathroom light on, which isn't unusual as Bladen and Reese have been getting up to go to the bathroom on their own. However, I was not prepared for what I saw. Reese standing their in her PJs with shampoo all in her hair! I had no words, she on the other hand said, "Look, I'm washing my hair!" If I wasn't too tired for preparing for the busy day, I would have taken a picture. Just imagine, my little girl with about half a bottle of blue shampoo in her hair - it was toy story shampoo, so it was blue!

Have you heard of flash giveaways? It's the latest thing on facebook. What it is, new business, in order to get fans, have giveaways! It can eat up anywhere between an hour to 3 hours of your time because they'll just keep doing one giveaway after another. But, I've participated in two so far and have won two items...not bad! Check out Coupon Mommy of 2 and Mama *D* on facebook and if you like them, you'll get a head's up on their flash giveaways! If you like them, tell them I sent ya.

RaNdOm nIgHtLy RaMbLe...

Did you know that Wendy's has a kid's meal for $1.99? Don't know how long it lasts, but it sure is a great deal. We don't normally eat fast food, but we have been lately. I usually get the chicken nuggets or burger and fries or oranges and then always the nesquick chocolate milk - but then keep it for myself. Plus, there is a kid's toy! Seriously, how cheap is that?

Next up? How much do you pay for a sitter? We had our first paying gig sitter tonight and I was really torn. I want to pay them alot because it's hard work, but don't want to spend alot just to go out. My neighbor told me $2.50 a kid. I'm sure it varies by region, but I'm curious. Feel free to share!

I got a phone call today that still is making me upset. My son is on a seizure med that he has been on since 5 months of age (now almost 4). The FDA just approved the med in the US this year, before we were going to Canada. The FDA has a differnet method of using the med. Basically, you mix the med, give the dose and discard the rest. For over 3 years, I mixed the med, refrigerated the leftovers and gave the rest at the next dosage time. Now they want me to throw away good meds?? These things aren't cheap and no it isn't costing me much because insurance covers, but I don't want my insurance to waste their money either. What is wrong here? Do you ever go with your mommy gut and say screw the rest? The lady said, "So you are going against the FDA??" Like I'm some bad person. I said, "Do you understand that for 3 years this is how I have given my son his medication and he has been seizure-free??" HELLO!!

Do you shop online alot? a little? Have you heard of EBATES? EBATES pays you a percentage back of what you spend at certain stores. They actually have a huge list of stores, over 1200 according to their website, but I haven't counted...LOL. Anyhow, with your first purchase, you get $5.00 and once you get $5.01 excluding the $5.00 bonus, they'll send you a BFC (big fat check) or send it to your PayPal every 3 months. Check it out http://www.ebates.com/rf.do?referrerid=UuCqZK3UTZhousJZeu3uhg%3D%3D

Last one, www.vocalpoint.com. Check it out if you like to get good free stuff! Right now, they have two offers going. They have two try and tells going on, sign up and check it out today!

K - off to play some bejewled blitz and go to bed! :)

Bladen's birthday!!

My first born is turning 4 soon and I'm just about over birthday parties. We had my youngest, Jax's, 1st birthday in June. It was a Rock 'N Roll - Kiss theme. And my middle, only daughter, Reese's, 3rd birthday in August. It was Yo Gabba Gabba. In both parties, I created the invites. I take pride in personalizing the invitations and trying to be creative. However, by the time September rolled around this year, I'm just done! We've got school starting and I just get partied out. So this year, I decided to outsource! www.customizedpartyprints.com did such a great job on Bladen's ticket invites. I provided the info and picture and literally the next day, he had a file for me! I was able to print myself. 2 tickets per 4x6 photo! Cheap, cheap, cheap without looking cheap! I found him on eBay, but he does have the website as well.
I still have to do gift bags and cake, so I'll post the party pics soon. Until then, if you have a party coming out. I really recommend this guy to create your invites. Inexpensive and different...my two favorite things!!

What the heck is going on??

So I've been getting into a lot of mommy blogs lately and I'm thinking, what the heck. I've got something to say too. LOL. Those that know me, know this is correct, now if it's something worth reading..well that's for you to decide.

I'll just start off with an intro. I'm 35 (how did that happen?), married and have 3 kids. Bladen, Reese and Jax are my life. They are 3, 3 and 1 and NO, the two 3 year olds are not twins. Bladen is almost 4, Reese just turned 3 and Jax is almost 15 months. I got married at 30 and just started popping out kids.

My life is very different from my 20s. I was single, had a great job, had a studio apt in a very popular city outside of detroit. Life was sweet, then I met HIM. HIM is my husband. I love him dearly, but he has literally turned my life upside down...for the better...I think.

One thing that has always been ME is that I LOVE, LOVE getting a deal. Don't we all?
So we will see how this goes and feel free to give me feedback. I mean, we all love it right? That's why facebook is so popular. To get that comment on your status or to have that like...at least for me, that is what my life has become. Well that and chasing after 3 Nutty Kidz...get it?? haha...ahhh, I make myself laugh as well.

So in my craziness, hopefully, you will laugh, smile, chuckle, shed a tear with me or save some money. Whatever, I'm putting it out there and hopefully someone out there will Love or at least 'like'!!!
